Job Fair March 31

Representative Jamie Santora and I, in coordination with Congressman Pat Meehan, invite you to a free job fair where you can connect with businesses and organizations seeking qualified employees.

The event takes place Thursday, March 31, 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Upper Darby High School in Drexel Hill.

Explore training and educational programs available through local colleges and universities

Additional information regarding human services agencies and veteran’s services will also be available.

Property Tax/Rent Rebate Assistance

My office will be offering assistance with the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program throughout the filing period in the District Office and at the Easttown Library during designated appointment times.

A member of the staff will be available to assist you with the completion of your 2015 Pennsylvania Property Tax/Rent Rebate application at the Easttown Library (720 First Avenue, Berwyn, PA 19312)

Thursday, March 10: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Thursday, March 17: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Thursday, March 24: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Please be sure to bring proof of all income and receipted property tax bills/rent receipts to your appointment or to the District Office. First time filers need proof of age, such as a PA driver’s license or non-driver I.D.

Essay Contest Winners to be Announced

Judges will be sitting down this week to read through and pick a winner of my 2015-2016 4th and 5th Grade Pennsylvania Essay Contest.

The judges include:

Nancy Hallowell, Upper Darby Library Director

Kathy Biddle, Ridley Township Library Director

Barb Hukma, Meda-Upper Providence Free Library Director

Each participant will be mailed a letter Friday notifying the winner of this year’s contest and information for my 2016-2017 Essay Contest. The winner will also be announced Monday, March 14 on Facebook,Twitter and Instagram.

April 19: Protect Yourself, Protect Your Money Seminar

Please join us for a program on protecting your money and making good decisions in an increasingly complex financial marketplace.

The seminar takes place Tuesday, April 19 from 1 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. at the Marple Township Building, 227 South Sproul Road.

After the seminar, you’ll get the chance to ask Katrina Boyer from the Department of Banking and Securities Office, Representative Adolph and I any questions you may have.

Please feel free to stop by the District Office at any point during the filing period ending June 30, 2016 for assistance from the staff on your Property Tax/Rent Rebate Application.
