SEPTA Senior Key Photo Day September 14

I’m hosting a SEPTA Senior Key Photo Day on September 14 with State Representatives Bill Adolph and Chris Quinn.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Marple Township Building (Commissioner’s Meeting Room), 227 South Sproul Road, Broomall, PA.

As SEPTA prepares to introduce its new, modern fare payment and collection system – SEPTA Key – we want to assure seniors, age 65 years or older, that they will be able to continue to ride free at all times on all SEPTA transit services (bus, Market-Frankford Line, Broad Street Line, trolley and the Norristown High Speed Line). Regional Rail fares for seniors will continue to be $1 for rides within Pennsylvania.

Senior riders who do not want to use their PA Driver’s License or state-issued ID card can register and have their picture taken for the new, free SEPTA Key Senior ID card. SEPTA KEY Cards will be mailed at a later date. A photograph is needed to receive the SEPTA KEY CARD.

Please contact my office at 610-853-4100 to schedule an appointment ASAP.

Senator McGarrigle to Honor Vietnam Veterans
September 17

Senator McGarrigle will be honoring Vietnam Era Veterans on September 17 at the Upper Darby Performing Arts Center.

The 2008 National Defense and Authorization Act authorized the Secretary of Defense to conduct a program to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War and coordinate, support, and facilitate programs, and activities of the Federal, State, and Local governments in commemoration of the Vietnam War. A special Vietnam Veteran’s lapel pin has been produced and will be distributed to attending veterans.

In order to attend this event the pin recipient must be a United States Veteran who served on active duty in the United States Armed Forces at any time during the period of November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975, regardless of stationing location. Questions regarding the event may be directed to Nick Cocco in Senator McGarrigle’s District Office at or 610-853-4100.

Registration is required for this event, please register at
